Article 1: The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities and to all piano lovers from beginners to more experienced.
Art. 2 - The competition is divided into 3 categories, each with three levels:
- 1st category : up to 12 years old (gone the day of the competition) : Non troppo, Calendo, Largo, Larghetto
- 2nd category : up to 16 years old (gone the day of the competition) : Moderato, Andante, Andantino
- 3rd category : up to 28 years old (gone the day of the competition) : Allegro, Presto, Prestissimo
- 4th category: Adults amateurs
Art. 3 - All pieces are set according to level and will be executed from memory and without repeats.
Art. 4 - Competition registration implies full acceptance of the rules on the part of candidates.
Art. 5 - Candidates have to be present on the day and at the time specified on the notification, which they will receive by post two weeks before the date of the competition. (In the event of the non-receipt of the notification, please inform the competition secretariat).
Art. 6 - Performances are public and admission is free of charge.
Art. 7 - Photocopying is forbidden for candidates
Art. 8 - Registration may be conducted either online or by post, by returning the form duly completed (in PDF format).
Art. 9 - The competition organisers may limit the number of entries per level, depending on the number of registered candidates.
Art. 10 - Candidates are required to present proof of age by way of an official document at the time of registration.
Art. 11 - A registration fee will be required for candidates to participate in the competition. The registration fee is non-refundable, unless the competition is cancelled.
Article 12 - The rewards will be declined in each level as follows:
1st and 2nd category: Mentions very well, well, quite well
3rd category level Allegro and Presto: 1st 2nd and 3rd medal
Prestissimo level: 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize
4th category: The jury will determine itself the level of the candidates for the attribution of the rewards (participation in a public animation of the Lille Clef de Soleil Festival or places for various concerts)
Art. 13 - A financial prize will be presented to the winners in each level. 1st category: €45, 2nd category : €100, 3rd category, Allegro level : €250, Presto level : €500, Prestissimo level : €2,000.
Art. 14 - If the grand prize is awarded, the town of Marcq-en- Barœul will offer the winner an opportunity to play the first part of the recital in the ‘Liaisons Musicales’ Festival programme.
Art. 15 - Depending on the level of candidates, the ‘Clef de Soleil’ festival may offer the opportunity for candidates to perform as part of her programme.
Art. 16 - The decisions of the jury cannot be subject to appeal.
Art. 17 - The jury reserves the right not to award all prizes.
Art. 18 - The dates of the competition will be specified on the website, leaflet and competition poster.
Art. 19 - The results will be announced publicly at the close of the competition.
Art. 20 - No registration will be accepted after the 3rd of March.
